Home Grown

I loved the challenge over on the American Crafts Blog. Especially the idea of making a recipe layout, which didn't actually use a food recipe. So here is my take.
The journaling reads:
Our Family Recipe 11-2010
(Takes a great amount of time and patience, but worth the effort.)
Infinity of Love
Fill to the top, when full, add more. You'll find there is always room for more.
Add:
Bucketfuls of Laughter
Armor of God (1 suit per person)
Gallons of Imagination
Fishing (I like just a pinch, but most prefer a lot more.)
Scores of Communing w/Nature
Scoops and Scoopes of Adventure
A Kiloliter of Hard Work
Tons of Support
Bushels of Compromise
Heaps of Extended Family
A Hundredweight of Crazy Chaos
Sprinkle w/Cuddle Time
15 Pets
Many Pounds of Paint, Tape, Bandaids, Tylenol, and Glue
Dash of Green Food Coloring

Stir, fold, roll, and encourage together. Never beat. Work at it always...and enjoy!

Supplies: Patterned Paper, Thickers, Rub-ons (American Crafts); Cardstock (We R Memory Keepers); Black Pen

American Crafts

There was a fun challenge on the American Crafts blog...so I thought I'd play along.
I used the Dear Lizzy collection from American Crafts along with American Crafts alphabet chipboards. Sooo love this picture of my Louie!

Sorry about the sideways photo, I'm not computer literate and can't get it to turn! LOL

Scraplift

Here is a page I did scraplifting a layout from the American Crafts blog. The original layout was by Moon Ko entitled A Letter to Charlie, and I just fell in love with it. The patterned paper, rubons, thickers, and pop-up stickers are all from American Crafts. The white cardstock is open stock from Hobby Lobby. It came together so fast thanks to the awesome page I lifted!

DeLovely

Here's my first layout using the new Cosmo Cricket paper called DeLovely. I absolutely love the quote and had to use it. It goes perfect with my sweet, innocent Kessie's face! Thanks Cosmo Cricket...you always have great products!

Card Sketch

So I'm not much of a card maker, but Crate Paper had a beautiful sketch challenge up so I thought I'd give it a try. My sister-in-law just had a baby boy and so I thought the Orbit line would be perfect. I also found this great quote that went along perfectly. It was actually really fun! Outdoor Girl

I was so excited to use this sketch. I had these hysterical pictures of Louie grumping in the middle of the trail. She didn't want to go any further. Then she forced a smile and told me to tell Daddy that she was an outdoor girl! I got the sketch from Sketchy Thursdays...go check out their blog!

Sketchy Challenge

I got some of the new October Afternoon papers. I usually don't buy the stickers or anything, too expensive, but I splurged this time. I'm so glad I did. I used a ton of them. It was so fun to have everything matching and not have to dig around, this page came together way fast! I got the sketch from Sketchy Thursdays...love their blog!

Seasons

I can't get over Crate Papers Seasons Collection. I just love it, I use it all the time. So I used it again for this layout, added a few Kaiser Craft Dots an orange piece of paper from We R Memory Keepers and black cardstock and there you have it. The journaling reads:
Okay, maybe we're not really twins, but one way that George and I are exactly alike...we're so stinkin' cute!!! Oh yeah! (P.S. Kessie said I looked like a psycho in this picture! LOL!)

Cosmo Sketch

Cosmo Cricket had a sketch challenge, so of course, I had to participate. I found this photo of my Louie and Uncle Derek and thought it would be a great chance to scrap it. I haven't scrapped 8.5 x 11 for a long time and it was fun to mix things up a bit as well as use several different of Cosmo Cricket's collection papers. They have a great blog so go on over and visit!

My Mommy

There was a challenge on the American Crafts blog and I thought of these pictures of Grace and Kessie. Kessie adores Gracie and can't get enough of her, unless, of course, Grace is trying to eat Kessie's food!

Sketchy

I love the sketches over at Sketchy Thursdays http://sketchythursdays.blogspot.com/, so here is another page I did using one of their sketches!
And, yes, I know it's sideways, but I've tried everything I can think of, and I can't fix it...oh well, here's to being technologically challenged!

First Page

So here is a page I did using a Becky Fleck pagemap. I was a bit concerned over all the different papers it called for, but I ended up really liking all the subtle or not so subtle (depending on how you look at it) differences!

Today...

I hate posting crafts and stuff on my personal blog, so I thought I'd start one where I can post all the things I want to get done and the stuff I actually get done and the kids art, etc. There probably will be even less posts than my personal blog because this is stuff that I will do someday when I have the time. Yeah, you're right, this will probably be the only post!
